Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales And Keizer Refrigeration Receive a Hazard Control Recognition Award

IISC 2019 pics - 5.jpgWe are delighted to announce that our companies Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales and Keizer Refrigeration have received a Hazard Control Recognition Award from the Iowa-Illinois Safety Council! Michael Huber, the President-Elect of the Iowa-Illinois Safety Council got to present the award to our Safety Manager Tom Johnston at the award ceremony which took place in Duboque, IA. A Hazard Control is a specific, identifiable change implemented to reduce or eliminate an individual’s exposure to a hazard in the workplace. Entries were judged on (1) Engineering control, redesign, guarding, (2) Work practice changes that eliminate or reduce the risk to a hazard, (3) Improvements to the personal protective equipment used by workers, (4) Changes for previously uncontrolled environmental risk and (5) Training in conjunction with controlling a hazard.

Our Safety Manager Tom Johnston said: “Receiving the Hazard Control Recognition Awards for both Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales and Keizer Refrigeration is proof of the hard work all of our employees in Sioux City have put into our safety program and in improving safety at this location.”
