#ThrowbackThursday – Keizer Refrigeration Service Technician’s Son Saves A Boy From Drowning (2015)

“It’s All About The People” is the motto of our Keizer companies. Our extraordinary employees make our companies what they are – dependable, reliable, and caring for our local community. Today we look at the dedicated voluntary work our Keizer Refrigeration service technician Bobby Nieto does to help young scouts learn about plumbing and refrigeration.

Bobby is the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 204 (Sioux City, IA), and has been a volunteer for the scouts since 2007 when his son Kaden was in first grade. Bobby works with his scout group and brings them to our shop to practice and help them achieve their plumbing and refrigeration badge. You can follow Boy Scout Troop 204 on facebook!

Although only 16 years old, Kaden is already proving he has the brave character of his Dad. In 2015, Kaden, then 13 years, made the local news when he helped save a young boy from drowning at the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA swimming pool in South Sioux City. Kaden received a National Meritorious Action Award for his quick response on that day. Read the full article here.

Heroes like Bobby and Kaden glue our community and help it grow stronger. We are tremendously proud to have Bobby as part of our Sioux City Keizer Refrigeration team!
