Dave Willman (second from right) from Mid-States Utility took our customers on a factory tour at the Utility Manufacturing plant in Clearfield this week. Clearfield in Utah is the largest refrigerated trailer factory in North America, producing their 250,000th reefer in May this year! Left to right: Tim Roorda (Fleet Manager, AMCON Distributing), Ron Tilley (Shop Manager, Nationwide Transportation, Inc. Omaha, NE.), Jim Green (Shop Manager, Midwest Express INC.) and Tom Tupper (Shop Manager, W. N. Morehouse Truck Line, Inc.). Dave says that his customers are his friends but also mentors. We love that quote and couldn’t agree more. Our staff at Mid-States Utility work with some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry. We learn from our customers so we can constantly improve the products, service and the experience we provide.

Fact: Did you know that Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company has now produced over 490,000 refrigerated trailers? Long before food-manufacturing supply chains needed to comply with Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) rules, Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company engineered trailers that minimized risks of contamination and delivered superior temperature control. The 3000R remains the best selling refrigerated trailer in North America since 1994. This is because of Utility’s philosophy of continuous improvement which leads to maximum performance and maximum reliability of Utility reefers.
