Mid-States Utility Omaha give back with a toy drive for the Heart Ministry Center

During the festive season more than ever we at Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales join businesses who remember those who need our help. Our Omaha branch teamed up with the Heart Ministry Center on 24 and Binney St and organized a toy drive for their Christmas Pantry, so children of the Center’s clients would have presents to open during the Holiday season.
The Heart Ministry Center provides basic necessities, educational opportunities and health and dental care to individuals and families severely affected by poverty.
Eric Crawford, the Executive Director, said: “We appreciate the toys we have received from Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales. Nearly half of all our clients live below the poverty line. It’s an extremely tough existence – but our clients are some of the most loving, resilient, tenacious people you’ll ever meet. These toys will certainly brighten up our clients’ children’s faces.”

The Heart Ministry Center originated nearly 40 years ago as the Sacred Heart Human Needs Door Ministry. In 2018 the Center provided food for more than 60,000 families, clothing for over 45,000 families, case management an social work services for more than 6,400 individuals and medical assistance for over 2,000 individuals. We value their work and are happy we could help spread the Holiday cheer to their clients through our toy drive.”
